I read One Body At a Time a little while ago and it was one of the most gripping books i’ve read in a long time.
Xiva has such a distinctive writing style. Her books never fail to amaze me.
I absolutely loved this read. I'm a huge fan of 'How To Kill Men and Get Away With It' by Katy Brent and this book had the same vibes. The whole time the suspence is built beautifully. The relationship between the characters is so intense. Other books don't have the detective and killer interact but the fact they do in this just makes it all the more amazing.

4.75 stars for this as I need to know more NOW
This is a dark thriller with some romance - please read the trigger warnings
There is definitely a lot more to this story and I am looking forward to the rest of the series to see if it will answer the many questions I have.
Seralyn has spent centuries cleaning up the rot of men who hurt woman and children and leaving a lot of bodies in her wake but now Mikael is on the case and he's drawn to her like a moth to a flame. Can he do his job and get the girl?
I want a lot more backstory on these two and there are hints of fated mates and otherworldly goings on but no definitive on who or what Seralyn is.

I absolutely love where this book takes you! Seralyn is a centuries old bad@ss who tries to rid the world of bad people, particularly child and women killers.
She has a special ‘signature’ to her work which all puzzles the detectives investigating the cases, especially Mikael Severtsen. As he tracks her down he starts to comprehend why she does what she does and begins to question his feelings.
This novella is an urban dark fantasy crime thriller that packs a punch. It’s thrilling, gritty, intriguing with suspense that will keep you turning the pages and asking questions.

As always with darker themed books, please check your triggers.
I was given the opportunity to ARC read this one. This left me wanting more. It's short at only 70 pages but it sets up the series.
Seralyn has been cleaning up the streets for centuries before she meets Mikael, a detective, who is investigating Seralyn but doesn't know it. I loved the dual POV reading Seralyn's bloody doings and Mikael's reactions to seeing them once they are discovered.
I can't wait to see what Book 2 brings and get more backstory on these characters.

This is the second book in The Correction Cycle series and it is just as good as the first (One Body at a Time).
It’s a dark urban crime thriller with a touch of humour that definitely adds to the story.
It keeps you guessing and focused on what the
ki!!ers will do next that you have to keep turning the pages for answers! It’s disturbing but interesting how they k!ll and with two badass detectives and a smart forensic pathologist on the case, it gives loads of mystery, intrigue and gritty vibes throughout.
I also absolutely love how Seralyn and Mikael have cameo roles in this book too. I love them!!! 😍
A fantastic read at just over 100 pages and a great ending to finish it off. Perfect!! 👌

Xiva seriously killed it with Saints of the Knife. This second book builds on the original cast from the first book but shakes things up by introducing new characters who start imitating Seralyn, which adds a really interesting layer to the story. It was fun (and sometimes a little unsettling) seeing how her influence spreads and how different people interpret what she stood for.
The familiar characters still feel like themselves, but they’re pushed further this time—higher stakes, harder choices, and more tension all around. The new additions to the cast didn’t feel forced either; they actually made the world feel bigger and a lot more complicated.
Overall it felt darker, sharper, and more intense than the first book while still keeping the same vibe that made the series so good to begin with. If you liked the first one, this one absolutely delivers. I’m really excited to see where the series goes from here.

One hot vampire, one romance writer, a desolate cabin decorated for Christmas, lots of snow and a bet ……..
The anticipation that builds up between Auren and Talia during their experiences throughout this book is fantastic. It makes you want to keep reading faster to find out what happens next.
Auren is just the sweetest vampire I think I have read about. He’s a dangerous predator and a tough businessman that owns nightclubs all over the city but with Talia ….. sigh….. he is just so different.
Talia is a book loving writer who lives quite a normal life. That all changes when she meets Auren and she then becomes a brave, daring and stronger woman. She’s a very likeable FMC.
This is a great spicy read with Christmas feel good vibes that blend in with the naughtiness just right. With a HEA ending it finishes the book perfectly.

This was a lovely little story around grief, loss and stories deserving to be told. It surrounds Mae and her editor friend Jasmine, who passed and Mae trying to find out the mystery around her death.
The ending was an incredibly nice ending that really brought things together and ended the story of what happened to Jasmine and I thoroughly loved it!
The book had me hooked from start to finish and I enjoyed reading it! Thank you so much to Xiva for sending me an ARC of this book
